I’ve come up with a list of ways we can reduce our impact and support our local communities. Some of these can ultimately save you some money and some can be a fun activity to do with the kids while you're holed up in your home (any other parents been having days where you feel like pulling your own hair out? I don’t even know why I ask that question... Ha ha! Sob Sob!)
When we’re giving a gift, I think we can all agree that we really want to wow the person we are giving it to. Our intention is to show them that we care and that we thought of them.
We also all love a great bargain and live by the phrase “More bang for your buck”. We feel really accomplished when we are able to load our tree with stacks of gifts for our loved ones to open and didn’t burn a hole through our wallet doing it. Or, we purchase one really expensive gift, hoping they’ll feel lavished. We did good, right??
Below I’m going to share a few different ways that we keep our kids “entertained” on a long car ride. I am confident you can read this and adapt it to your particular needs, whether you are traveling with a baby, flying in a plane, driving a 12 passenger van with eight kids, taking the Amtrak with twin 3 year olds, etc.
What a magical time of year we are coming up on here in the next few weeks! And wouldn’t you say we are in need of a little “magic” this year? My goodness, let’s grab a hold of the upcoming holiday season and make it something special! I’m going to share with you a few of my personal favorite ideas for your baby’s first Christmas. Stay tuned over the next several weeks as we discuss all sorts of topics that will be relevant for you during this holiday season with our extra special series: Crisis Free Christmas.
Below is my bucket list of 25 Covid conscious holiday activities (and yes, most of these are things I’d typically do but this year I want to do them on a grander scale!!)

...I thought I could be a hero on this last trip and forgo the stroller in favor of a leash, which is great for walking through large crowds, but I ended up dragging my 3 year old through the Houston airport because she insisted on crawling on her hands and knees like a “real dog on a leash”. A dog that barked, too.
I’ve been asked recently how we travel so far (28hrs drive time) with 6 kids. Since no one likes my answer of zip-ties, duct tape and blindfolds ...
